Introducing AC-X, a 16-channel wireless control surface designed for seamless integration with Apple's Logic Pro X and various other recording and mixing systems. The device utilizes both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options to establish a reliable connection with the host computer.

The design of AC-X focuses on maximizing screen real estate for a hands-on mixing experience, ensuring quick access to advanced functions through a slide-in control panel that can be effortlessly summoned to either side of the mixer screen, preventing any obstruction of the channels in use. Additionally, the transport buttons like play and stop are cleverly integrated into the top time display, providing constant availability.

The application adopts the industry-standard MCU protocol, making it compatible with a wide range of recording and mixing software, except for Pro Tools. While the control panel layout is initially optimized for Logic Pro X, the main mixing screen is versatile enough to function smoothly with most other systems. Future updates will include button layouts for additional systems following rigorous testing.

Compatibility:

It's worth noting that there is no requirement for an existing Wi-Fi network. In fact, creating a private Wi-Fi network between your Mac and iPad can sometimes yield superior results.

Your iPad must run iOS 8 and have Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities to utilize the MIDI over Bluetooth system (typically iPad 3rd generation or newer). However, it can operate seamlessly in 8-channel mode using Wi-Fi alone.

For MIDI over Bluetooth functionality, your host computer should feature Bluetooth 4.0 and run OS X 10.10 Yosemite or newer, while older OS X versions can support Wi-Fi connectivity only (up to 8 channels).

If you are exclusively using Wi-Fi, toggle the switch in the control panel to "Wi-Fi + BT." If opting for Bluetooth alone or combining Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, switch to "BT + Wi-Fi."
